In accordance with the Package Travel Regulation (PRV), customer funds for package holidays and linked travel arrangements are protected under the following conditions: the down payment is made no earlier than eleven months before the agreed end of the trip and amounts to a maximum of 20% of the travel price. The remaining payment is due no earlier than twenty days before the start of the trip – step by step against handover of the travel documents to the traveller. Higher or earlier down payments or final payments may not be required and are not protected.
Information regarding the legally required insolvency protection: For trips/services booked with COLUMBUS Reisen GmbH & Co KG as well as with COLUMBUS Reisen GmbH as travel service provider within the meaning of the Package Travel Regulation (PRV, Federal Law Gazette II No. 260/2018), a bank guarantee has been deposited with Erste Bank der österreichischen Sparkassen AG (Am Belvedere 1, 1100 Vienna) in the event of insolvency.
